A Day In the Life:
The Director of Sales – Lecithin and Protein is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives to drive revenue growth and expand market share across lecithin and protein product portfolios. This role builds strong customer partnerships, and ensures commercial strategies are aligned with the company’s broader financial and growth objectives.

 

 

What You'll Be Doing:
Sales Strategy Development and Execution:
•    Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies for lecithin and protein products that drive profitable growth and support long-term business objectives.
Sales Team Leadership and Development:
•    Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Customer Relationship Management:
•    Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key customers across food, nutrition, and industrial segments, ensuring high customer satisfaction and retention.
Business Development:
•    Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new customers, applications, and markets for lecithin and protein solutions.
Market and Competitive Intelligence:
•    Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to inform pricing, positioning, and portfolio strategy.
Negotiation and Deal Execution:
•    Lead complex commercial negotiations and close customer agreements that maximize value while managing risk.
Sales Forecasting and Performance Reporting:
•    Deliver accurate sales forecasts, manage pipeline visibility, and provide insightful performance reporting to senior leadership.

 

 

Skill/Experience Requirements:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Food Science, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
•    Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in sales and marketing, with significant exposure to lecithin, protein, or specialty ingredients markets.
•    Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing sales teams.
•    An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
•    Make decisions aligned to Bunge’s global strategy, business needs and financial goals and explore new perspectives by driving innovation.
•    Cultivate strong relationships and networks, effectively influence others, and develop talent to excel in their current and future roles.
•    Develop data driven strategies aligned with Bunge’s priorities, energize others to action through clear and compelling communication.
•    Sales leadership and commercial management

•    Contract negotiation and deal structuring
•    Customer relationship management (CRM)
•    Strong knowledge of lecithin and protein markets and applications
