Operator D, Edible Oil

A Day in the Life:

This position is located in the Bunge North America soybean processing plant in Decatur, IN.  The D Operator – Edible Oil is responsible for safely and accurately loading trucks and rail cars and performing various utility functions through the Edible Oil Department. 

Position Details:

Hourly pay rate: $30.99

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Move rail cars for inbound and outbound shipments
• Load and unload trucks and rail cars
• Unload and distribute inbound supplies and products
• Monitor gas plant and nitrogen buildings
• Report any concerns with safe food practices
• Monitor processes and make adjustments as needed
• Record process conditions on log sheet
• Wash rail cars
• Clean and change filters
• Sanitation duties

Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic computer and mechanical skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work safely and follow policies and procedures
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Willing to work overtime, flexible hours, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to work 2nd / 3rd shift

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience in an industrial environment
