Senior Director - Trading | Head of Cotton Marketing

We are seeking a Senior Director – Trading / Head of Cotton Marketing to lead our global cotton marketing strategy and cultivate and maintain strong relationships across the value chain.

You will play a critical role in connecting global supply with end-user demand, leading a team of 5+ direct reports fostering a truly collaborative environment.

Role Purpose

The Global Destination Trader plays a critical role in connecting global supply with end-user demand. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining a strong sales network across major consuming markets, while actively expanding destination liquidity to support efficient physical sales. The destination trader continuously monitors counterparty credit risk and market exposure to ensure secure and sustainable trading relationships. Equally important is overseeing smooth execution throughout the entire transaction lifecycle — from the original point of inquiry and contract negotiation through logistics, documentation, delivery, and final payment for goods. Through disciplined risk management and reliable performance, the cotton marketer helps create trust, consistency, and long-term commercial value.

Main Accountabilities

As Senior Director – Trading & Head of Cotton Marketing, you will be instrumental in:

• Global leadership for all cotton Destination Trading and Marketing Approach.
• Directing destination pricing strategies.
• Securing sales volumes across all customer networks.
• Monitoring counterparty risk via compliance and M2M.
• Liaising with global execution teams to link with origin shipment teams.
• Promoting the Bunge trademark industry widely.

Who We're Looking For

We’re seeking an exceptional leader with a profound understanding of the global cotton trading landscape, especially Destination Trading. You'll bring at least 15 years of hands-on experience in the industry, including 5+ years successfully leading diverse international teams. A proven track record with a robust network in the global destination textile mill community is essential, alongside deep, end-to-end knowledge of the product line, from farming to spinning. You'll be adept at navigating complex global contract disputes, with practical experience in ICA rules and arbitration. Beyond this technical mastery, you naturally cultivate strong relationships and networks, effectively influencing stakeholders at all levels, and are a passionate developer of talent. Your outstanding communication is clear, compelling, and energizes others to action. You possess a strategic mindset, making data-driven decisions aligned with Bunge’s global strategy and financial goals, constantly exploring new perspectives and championing innovation to enhance our market position.
