About the Role:
This Assistant Trader position is an opportunity for those eager to excel in FX, rates, and credit markets. You will be immersed in a trading environment, requiring strong discipline, sharp analytical skills, and self-motivation to navigate complex market dynamics. By working closely with experienced market professionals, you will gain hands-on experience in market analysis, risk management, and trading strategies. Success in this role demands a proactive mindset, the ability to make quick yet informed decisions, and a commitment to continuous learning. You will also take on the responsibility of developing and maintaining relationships with banks, further enhancing your market exposure.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to traders in their daily activities, ensuring smooth execution of trading operations.
- Assist in identifying and developing trading strategies by analyzing financial market trends and economic indicators. Manage daily P&L reconciling and reporting.
- Monitor and reconcile daily P&L, ensuring accuracy in reporting. Analyze macro market trends and their impact on trading decisions.
- Execute trades in FX and rates markets with precision, adhering to market conditions.
- Conduct in-depth macroeconomic analysis to assess market trends, geopolitical events, and central bank policies, helping to refine trading decisions.
Qualifications:
- 0–2 years of experience in finance or trading (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Strong interest in financial markets, including FX, rates, and credit.
- Experience managing a personal trading portfolio is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Bloomberg and Reuters is beneficial.
- Strong quantitative skills are a plus.
- Highly precise and disciplined approach to work.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, or Financial Engineering.
