A Day in the Life:
The Trader is responsible for marketing the commodity products in Central America by providing a personalized service to customers in accordance with established policies and procedures.

 

What You'll Be Doing:
Help grow Bunge's commodity business in the Central America with focus in developing medium to large customers in our region.
Monitor in the medium and large customers the credit portfolio, inventory rotation, insurance management and the financial health of the clients medium and large.
Leverage knowledge of current and future destination customer base to maximize cash trading opportunities.
Monitor and own all aspects of the sale, shipment, and post-sale and post-shipment follow-up, including resulting profit and loss.
Ability to respond to market dynamics such as spreads, futures, basis and freight changes vis a vis different origins.
Quick reactions to the dynamics of quality complaints at origin and destination to minimize impacts to the customer and the value chain.
Follow-up of the stocks of their own portfolio to be aligns with the MTM risk limit approvals, credit and SWH.
Provide market intelligence to Bunge's Global research, Bunge Value Chain and origination trading desks.
Actively communicate market data and relevant information to trading partners in Latin Region.
Ensure compliance with Bunge's policies and procedures in the course of doing business.
Regularly customers calls and visits.

 

Skills/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting/Finance, Agricultural Economics, or related field. 
7+ years of business experience as an associate/junior trader or similar role in the agribusiness industry.
Understanding of commodity trading, MTM rules, PNL construction, Commodity cash and futures settlements practices and industry terms and exchanges (CBOT).
Understanding of ocean freight market.
Fluency in English and Spanish.
