Overview:
Responsible for executing and optimizing logistics operations related to port activities, including unloading, storage, and discharge processes. Analyze data, prepare and optimize reports, manage the billing process, and improve operational efficiency in customer dispatch and service attention.
Essential Functions:
Collect, analyze, and interpret data reported by terminals/warehouses to prepare inventory control reports.
Manage inventory control, including monitoring loadings at various ports/warehouses and handling balances by warehouse/client.
Prepare daily customer reports detailing dispatches per offer/port-dispatch warehouse, cargo balances, released quantities, and cargo withdrawal deadlines.
Release cargo to customers according to authorizations from the Commercial and Accounting Departments, ensuring close coordination with all internal departments and company staff.
Request dispatch invoicing customer bases on pricing and information provided by the Commercial Department.
Control and review logistics service provider invoices (unloading, customs brokerage, storage, etc.).
Request the invoicing of storage fees to customers through the corresponding department.
Manage and update the Oracle system daily, including purchase orders, load entries, and system reporting.
Send vessel arrival, berthing, and operational status updates to DDP customers.
Manage and review shipping documents required for customs and ICA processes. Execute and monitor customs agency procedures.
Prepare phytosanitary permits (Import Permit) in the ICA's VUCE system.
Prepare accurate internal reports on logistics performance, including costs, cargo dwell time, inventory, and rates.
Provide assistance in Compliance, KYC, and supplier registration processes related to logistics operations.
Maintain constant communication with terminals/warehouses.
Operate and manage port inventory systems (Transkal/NOVA/Compas).
Perform all other tasks inherent to the positions that contribute to the efficient development of the logistics department and operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
3+ years of progressive experience in logistics.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential.
Proactive and innovative approach to identifying and resolving logistical challenges.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Advanced Knowledge of English.
