A Day in the Life:
As a Maintenance Technician at Bunge, you will play a vital role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of our corn milling facility. This position involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks across equipment, buildings, grounds, and utilities in a 24/7 operational environment. Your dedication to safety, food safety, and process quality will be paramount.
Position Details:
This position requires working a rotating shift pattern of 12-hour shifts, including days and nights, totaling 3.5 days per week. Overtime and on-call availability are essential components of this role.
Supports the Maintenance team to provide 24/7 coverage as per the schedule provided by the Maintenance Supervision.
$24.96 an hour
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Adhere to all safety regulations, food safety guidelines, company policies, and good manufacturing practices (GMPs). Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory for all tasks.
- Operate and maintain wastewater equipment, ensuring proper cleaning.
- Ensure facility is operating according to all TCEQ and EPA regulations.
- Monitor and maintain wastewater and water supply systems. Execute daily, weekly, and monthly operational schedules for these areas.
- Maintain accurate records and logs of all maintenance activities and system performance.
- Perform maintenance tasks in all areas of the plant, including indoor and outdoor environments, confined spaces, and at heights (utilizing appropriate PPE).
- Safely operate forklifts.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment.
- Perform welding tasks on regular steel (preferred).
- Understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training and experience.
- Ability to read and understand SOPs, prints and manuals.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment.
- Ability to drive a fork truck safely.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English for record-keeping, safety training, and process documentation.
- Mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work in a safety-conscious environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or 3 years of equivalent maintenance experience.
- Basic computer skills and experience with common software applications.
- Welding experience with regular steel.
