A Day in the Life: 

The Plant Analyst supports the local plant management team by ensuring data integrity, maintaining strong operational controls, and providing analysis that supports informed business decisions. This role is responsible for inventory management, processing and yield analysis, KPI reporting, month-end accounting support, and other administrative activities that contribute to efficient plant operations. The position also serves as a key liaison between plant operations and corporate support functions.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Plan, coordinate, and report physical inventory counts in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform periodic inventory audits and support production planning, customer service, and supply chain activities.
  • Monitor and support key internal controls related to receiving, shipping, inventory movements, and scale system integrity.
  • Analyze production yields, shrink results, and inventory variances, and investigate significant deviations from standards.
  • Monitor rework and scrap inventory and ensure accurate SAP records.
  • Collect, analyze, and report daily, weekly, and monthly operational data and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Support monthly forecasting activities by providing inputs related to plant expenses, utilities, maintenance, and inventory variances.
  • Coordinate local IT administration activities in partnership with the Corporate IT team.
  • Act as a liaison with payroll services to support timekeeping and related processes.
  • Support the implementation of new systems, processes, and employee training initiatives focused on data accuracy and reporting.
  • Assist with special projects and perform other duties as required.

 

Skills/Experience Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience with SAP or other enterprise business systems; ability to become a power user.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and sound decision-making skills.
