A Day in the Life: 

 Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Plant Administrative Supervisor is responsible for overseeing comprehensive commercial and production support operations, and delivering essential administrative services to the plant management team. This role is critical in enabling efficient plant operations through effective departmental supervision and robust administrative processes.

 

This role is on a 12-month contract.

 

What You’ll Be Doing: 

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and supervise direct reports, fostering a high-performing team and ensuring efficient workflow within administrative and support functions.
  • Operational & Financial Support Oversight: Direct and manage critical commercial and production support activities, including financial transactions, inventory reconciliations, daily production reporting, payroll processing, and procurement tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Inventory Management & Reconciliation: Oversee the planning, execution, and reconciliation of monthly physical inventory observations for commodities and supplies, analyzing variances and ensuring accurate month-end financial cut-offs.
  • Compliance & Internal Controls: Implement and enforce robust internal and SOX control procedures, educating local management and ensuring consistent execution to mitigate risk and maintain operational integrity.
  • Administrative & Shared Services Liaison: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the plant management team, manage local plant events, and serve as a key liaison for shared service functions such as Human Resources, IT, and Accounts Payable.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis Support: Assist the Plant Manager with annual budget preparation, provide detailed spending variance analysis, and support strategic financial planning initiatives.
  • Safety & Culture Promotion: Actively promote and support plant safety initiatives, training programs, and foster a proactive, safety-first culture throughout the facility.

 

Skills/Experience Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive administrative or operational leadership experience, preferably within an agribusiness or manufacturing environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP-GTM) with a strong aptitude to become a power user.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
