Overview
This is a hands-on individual contributor role that focuses on providing HR partnering support to the Commercial leaders and employees in Pasir Gudang. As a strategic Commercial HR partner, the role will support the implementation of global HR strategic plans and programs that aligns with Tropical Oils VC business directions and growth. The role will act as a “glue” across global Centers of Expertise to deliver HR services locally.
The role will collaborate closely with the Industrial HRBP and be supported by the local HR team in Pasir Gudang and global shared service center (BBS) to deliver positive employee experiences.
Main Accountabilities:
A. Strategic HR Partnering To Busines:
- Participate in strategic planning discussion and workforce design
- Support and facilitate organizational change, cultural shifts and transformation programs
- Develop hiring plans, succession strategies and skills develolpment
- Coaches managers on employee development, engagement, and behavior issues
- Promotes a high-performance and values-driven culture
- Coaches business leaders on team effectiveness, communication, and talent development
- Builds leadership capability across the organization
B. Partnership with Centers of Expertise (COE) to Engage the Organization
- Collaborate with Talent Management COE to implement globally aligned performance management, talent acquistion, talent planning, development and employee engagement programs
- Engage Total Rewards COE to ensure compliance to total rewards programs and leverage various retention strategies
- Supported by Human Capital Strategy & Insights COE to use HR analytics to interpret trends (attrition, productivity, engagement) to ensure appropriate HR strategies are implemented and advise leaders using people data to improve workforce decisions.
C. General HR Support:
- In collaboration with Industrial HRBP, local HR team and BBS, support employees and managers on day to day HR related issues
- Provide senior HR guidance to local HR team where appropriate
Education/Experience Requirement:
- Degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on HR experiences with at least 2-3 years of HR Partnering exposure in MNC organizations
- Knowledge of talent management and/or total rewards practices
- Has working experience in the HR Operating model: (1) HR Partner, (2) COE and (3) Shared Services model
- Exposure to senior commercial stakeholders would be advantageous.
