Operator

Main Accountabilities  

• Operating and Monitoring Blending Equipment: Setting up, operating, and tending machinery designed to weigh, mix, and blend vegetable oils and other ingredients according to specific formulas and recipes. This involves starting equipment, adjusting operations to maintain product quality, and monitoring the process for consistency and to prevent malfunctions. 

• Ingredient Management: Accurately measuring and loading specified amounts of raw materials and ingredients into mixing machines. This includes understanding the required amounts and the proper administration of ingredients as per the recipe. 

• Quality Control and Assurance: 

• Collecting samples of mixed oils and food products for analysis. 

• Examining and assessing quality characteristics such as texture, color, flavor, bouquet, moisture content, acidity level, and specific gravity. 

• Making adjustments to the blending process based on test results to achieve desired product qualities. 

• Ensuring all blending and mixing operations adhere to established quality standards and specifications. 

• Maintenance and Cleaning: Performing routine equipment maintenance to prevent breakdowns and maintaining tanks, basins, and filter beds. This also includes cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas to meet food safety standards. 

• Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate production records and logs, including details on ingredients used, temperatures, test results, and time cycles for each batch. 

• Safety and Compliance: 

• Adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment. 

• Applying regulations concerning food manufacturing and food safety compliance, including Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). 

Education/Experience 

• Minimum education level of Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)
• Able to write in Malay.
• Able to communicate in Malay.
• Have experience working in edible oil refinery plant is added advantage.
