Prod Planning Intern

Summary :-

1. To provide hands-on support to the production planning department.
2. To contribute to the efficient and timely execution of manufacturing operations.
3. To assist in the coordination, scheduling, and optimization of production processes.
4. To aid in inventory management and data analysis.
5. To help ensure product availability, optimal resource utilization, and the achievement of production targets.

Description :-

1. Production Scheduling and Optimization Support:

Assisting in the development, maintenance, and optimization of production schedules, ensuring they align with customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity. This often involves prioritizing tasks to minimize delays and enhance efficiency.

2. Inventory Management Assistance:

Supporting the monitoring of inventory levels, conducting regular inventory checks, maintaining accurate records, and helping to identify and address any discrepancies. This can also include managing floor stock and utilizing MRP systems for inventory integrity.

3. Data Analysis and Reporting:

Analyzing production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement, and providing insights and recommendations to enhance production efficiency. Interns may also collect output data (e.g., finished goods quantity, defect rates) and prepare status and performance reports for management.

4. Demand Forecasting Support:

Assisting in demand forecasting activities by analyzing sales data and market trends to help align production schedules with projected demand.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Working closely with various departments such as manufacturing, quality, procurement, Order Management , Warehouse and logistics to coordinate production activities, address issues, and ensure timely product delivery.

6. Special Projects:

Participating in special projects and initiatives as assigned, which may include supporting ad-hoc analysis and reporting related to production planning. Eg. Process Improvement Participation or relevant to the final coursework of study.

Requirements:-

1. Current Enrollment:  Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
2. Relevant Fields of Study:  Typically in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related technical/engineering discipline.
3. Academic Standing: A minimum GPA (>3.0)
4. Duration : Intership ( >3 months)
