A Blending Operator has an important job in making food products like shorternings and margarine. They are mainly responsible for carefully mixing oils and other ingredients. This role requires technical skills, close attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety and quality rules.
Job scope

Operating Blending Machines: Set up, run, and look after machines that weigh, mix, and blend oils and other ingredients following exact recipes. This means starting the machines, making adjustments to keep product quality high, and monitor the process to ensure it's consistent.

Managing Ingredients: Accurately measure and put the correct amounts of ingredients into mixing machines. This involves knowing how much is needed and adding ingredients correctly according to the recipe.

Checking Quality:

Collect samples of mixed oils and food products to Lab test.

Check the quality of products, including their texture, color, flavor, smell, moisture, acidity, and density.

Make changes to the blending process based on test results to get the right product quality.

Make sure all mixing follows set quality standards & specification.

Maintenance and Cleaning: Regular maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns, and look after tanks, containers, and filters. You will also clean and sanitize equipment and work areas to meet food safety standards.

Keeping Records: Keep accurate production records, noting details like ingredients used, temperatures, test results, and batch times.

Follow all safety rules to ensure a safe workplace.

Follow food production and safety rules, including HACCP and GMP guidelines.

Overall, a Blending Operator helps keep production efficient, reduce waste, and ensure mixed products always meet important quality standards in the food industry.
Requirement :

Minimum Diploma
-
1-2 years experience in chemical or oleochemicals industries

Familiar with GMP, HACCP & FSSC standard

Willing to work in shifts and overtime.

Good communication skill and fast learner
