Lead and manage the overall warehouse operations to ensure safe, efficient, accurate and cost-effective receipt, storage, handling, inventory control and dispatch of finished goods and materials in accordance with company policies, customer requirements, safety, quality and food safety standards.
The Warehouse Operation Manager is responsible for ensuring warehouse operational readiness, inventory accuracy, optimum space and resource utilization, and achievement of service and productivity KPIs. The role also provides leadership in the implementation, stabilization and continuous improvement of warehouse automation systems, including ASRS, AGV/material movement systems, WMS and SAP integration, while developing a capable and accountable warehouse team.

1. Safety, Quality, Food Safety & Compliance
- Ensure warehouse operations comply with company EHS requirements, Quality & Food Safety standards, GMP, applicable procedures and statutory requirements.
- Promote a strong safety culture through visible leadership, hazard identification, risk assessment and timely corrective actions.
- Ensure safe operation of forklifts, AGVs, ASRS, cranes, loading areas and other material-handling equipment.
- Participate in incident investigations, internal/external audits and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain warehouse housekeeping, product integrity and storage conditions according to required standards.
2. Warehouse Operations & Service Delivery
- Lead and oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, storage, replenishment, picking, staging and dispatch activities.
- Ensure warehouse activities meet operational plans, production requirements and customer delivery expectations.
- Optimize warehouse capacity, storage utilization, manpower, equipment and workflow to achieve productivity and cost targets.
- Establish and monitor warehouse KPIs including productivity, inventory accuracy, stock availability, operational delays, equipment utilization and service performance.
- Ensure proper shift coverage and operational continuity.
3. Warehouse Automation, WMS & Systems Management
- Lead operational implementation and stabilization of automated warehouse systems including ASRS, AGV, automated
- cranes/material handling systems and associated equipment.
- Ensure effective integration and transaction flow between WMS, SAP and physical warehouse movements.
- Work closely with IT, Engineering, Production, vendors and system providers to resolve system or equipment issues.
- Establish appropriate procedures, contingency plans and escalation processes for automation or system downtime.
- Drive continuous improvement of automated warehouse processes to improve throughput, reliability, traceability and
- productivity.
4. Inventory Management & Operational Controls
- Maintain high inventory accuracy through effective stock control, cycle counting, physical stock take and reconciliation processes.
- Ensure all physical stock movements are accurately reflected in SAP/WMS and investigate discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain proper batch, location, status and product traceability.
- Monitor ageing, blocked, quality inspection and other inventory categories and coordinate appropriate action with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure strong operational controls are in place to prevent stock loss, damage, misplacement and transaction errors.
5. People Leadership, Cost Management & Continuous Improvement
- Lead, coach and develop warehouse supervisors, executives, operators and supporting employees to build a competent and accountable team.
- Establish clear roles, performance expectations, development plans and succession/backup arrangements.
- Manage warehouse operating expenses, maintenance requirements, overtime, manpower and other controllable costs.
- Coordinate effectively with Production, Logistics/Transportation, Customer Service, Quality, Engineering, IT and other stakeholders.
- Manage vendors and service providers supporting warehouse operations and automation.
- Lead productivity, Lean/continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives while maintaining safety, quality and customer service standards.

Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehouse Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Management or a related discipline.
- Professional certification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Lean/Six Sigma, Project Management, Safety or related fields would be an added advantage.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in warehouse, logistics, supply chain or manufacturing operations.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in a warehouse managerial or senior leadership position, preferably managing a sizeable operational workforce.
- Proven experience managing warehouse operations in a manufacturing, FMCG, food ingredients, edible oils, chemical or similar process-industry environment is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with SAP and/or WMS is required or strongly preferred.
- Experience managing or implementing ASRS, AGV or other warehouse automation systems would be a significant advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in inventory management, operational KPI management, cost control, safety and continuous improvement.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Production, Transportation/Logistics, Quality, Engineering, IT and external service providers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead operational change, develop teams and manage improvement projects.
