| Role Purpose Statement | The Plant Commercial Manager is responsible for leading the plant commercial and controlling activities to support smooth, cost-effective and compliant plant operations. The role ensures accurate accounting and reporting, robust internal controls, inventory accuracy, budget and cost performance monitoring, contract and commercial governance, statutory compliance, and effective team leadership. |
| Main Accountabilities | • Lead plant controlling, accounting close and financial reporting activities, ensuring accurate books and timely submission of monthly reports. • Oversee inventory, production and weighbridge controls for raw oil, WIP, finished goods, packing materials and MRO items, ensuring SAP accuracy and timely reconciliations. • Monitor plant variable and fixed costs, analyse performance versus budget and prior year, and provide actionable insights to support cost control and operational decision-making. • Manage commercial governance activities including DPO review, contract evaluation, Capex evaluation, GRN/weighbridge reconciliations, scrap management, and statutory/SOX compliance. • Lead and develop the plant commercial team through clear direction, regular communication, coaching and timely closure of audit queries. |

| Technical | Strong knowledge of plant controlling, cost accounting, financial accounting, budgeting, MIS reporting, taxation and statutory compliance, internal controls/SOX, SAP and advanced MS Excel. Ability to analyse production and cost variances, review commercial contracts, evaluate Capex proposals, and support operational decision-making with accurate financial insights. |
| Education & Experience | Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional qualification with 10–15 years of relevant experience in industrial/manufacturing finance, plant controlling or commercial finance roles. Experience in SAP-based reporting, internal controls and plant operations environment is preferred. |
