Regional Agricultural Procurement Representative (Origination), Northeast Kazakhstan

We are looking for a Regional Representative to support and develop the procurement of agricultural commodities in Northeast Kazakhstan (Pavlodar, Abay, and East Kazakhstan regions). This position involves building and maintaining strong relationships with farmers, agricultural enterprises, grain elevators, and suppliers, as well as implementing procurement strategies, particularly for sunflower seeds, wheat, and barley.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with farmers, agricultural enterprises, grain elevators, and other suppliers across Northeast Kazakhstan (Pavlodar, Abay, and East Kazakhstan regions).
• Implement strategies for sourcing and attracting agricultural commodities, particularly sunflower seeds, wheat, and barley.
• Monitor crop conditions, harvest progress, yields, market trends, and competitor performance.
• Collect and analyze market intelligence to support procurement and pricing decisions.
• Negotiate and conclude procurement contracts, including agreement on quality requirements, prices, volumes, delivery terms, and payment conditions.
• Coordinate contract execution, logistics, quality control, and supply planning in collaboration with internal departments.
• Increase procurement volumes and identify new opportunities to source agricultural commodities within the region.
• Strengthen Bunge’s market presence and develop a supplier network through long-term partnerships.

Requirements

• University degree in Economics, Finance, Agriculture, Agronomy, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• At least 4-5 years of experience in grain and/or oilseed procurement.
• Strong understanding of grain and oilseed markets, product quality requirements, and contract structures.
• Good knowledge of agricultural logistics, including road and rail transportation networks in Northeast Kazakhstan.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work effectively under high workloads during harvest campaigns and periods of active procurement.
• Fluency in Russian.
• English proficiency at Pre-Intermediate level or higher will be considered an advantage.
• Valid Category B driving license and willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region.
• An established network of contacts among farmers and agricultural producers in Northeast Kazakhstan will be a significant advantage.
