In this role, you act as the central coordinator between internal teams and global stakeholders, ensuring contracts are executed efficiently, risks are managed, and cargo flows smoothly across international supply chains. Your Future role at Bunge (Rotterdam – full-time)
Reporting directly to Team Lead Operations, you will independently manage trade execution activities, working closely with commercial teams, internal and external partners to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods.
Given the dynamic nature of commodity trading, this role requires a self-starter with flexibility in working hours (working outside working hours and in the weekends) and a willingness to respond to time-sensitive operational demands.
In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of operational processes, including:
- Contract execution; thoroughly check commodity contracts prior and during execution. Timely sending contractual notices.
- Preparation and sending of loading and/or documentary instructions in accordance with applicable contract terms and regulations.
- Stock management internal and external storages;
- Monthly reporting of external stock levels;
- Dealing with customer complaints / quality + performance issues;
- Appointing cargo superintendents and fumigators;
- Handling letters of credit;
- Contact vessel agents and thoroughly check commodity contracts, as well as charter party terms;
- Assuring the correct processing of accruals and invoices;
- Timely presentation of prepared documentation (such as bill of lading and certificates of origin) are key in completing operations effectively;
- Putting logistical information into our system.
Candidate Profile: Your Skills & Experience
We are seeking motivated professionals across different experience levels:
Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in an operations role within an international business environment (recent graduates are welcomed to apply for a more junior role);
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy standards;
- Ability to prioritize and perform under pressure;
- Excellent communication skills across stakeholders and cultures;
- Proactive, pragmatic, and solution-oriented mindset.
Background & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree (HBO), preferably in Logistics or Supply Chain Management;
- Affinity with trade execution and logistical settlement processes;
- Strong Excel and MS Office skills;
- Fluent in English (spoken and written);
- French is a strong plus.
