A Day in the Life:
This position is responsible for the overall site management of operations at an oilseed processing facility. Included are the day-to-day supervision and career development of employees, plant costs and budgets, monitoring and ongoing improvement of plant productivity, oversight of plant safety, risk management, interaction with various corporate entities, and other functions related to general operations of a Bunge oilseed processing facility.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment consistent with regulatory and corporate guidelines
- Responsible for environmental compliance for the facility
- Establish controls and procedures that ensure ongoing compliance and a positive relationship with local, state and federal agencies
- Ensure that a plant culture focused on safety, efficiency, accountability, and customer awareness exists and is nurtured at the plant
- Responsible for the staffing and maintenance of good employee relations in the facility
- Nurture a plant working environment that encourages employee involvement in the consistent improvement of plant processes, striving for optimal costs and efficiencies
- Hire and develop a competent, efficient and motivated management team while providing adequate opportunity for individual career development
- Coordinate staff, establish procedures and utilize resources to consistently meet or exceed corporate quality standards and customer expectations
- Work with commercial and administrative groups to establish short and long-term operating objectives
- Prepare and implement plans to improve the productivity and efficiency of the facility’s operations, including development of capital expenditure plans and operating budgets
- Develop location long range plans and short-term objectives to meet plant growth and efficiency goals
- Evaluate operations and take appropriate action to ensure cost objectives and key performance indicator targets are met.
- Prepare or supervise the preparation of daily and monthly production reports and verify their completeness and accuracy
- Establish controls and procedures that ensure ongoing compliance and a positive relationship with local, state and federal agencies
- Provide for the protection of company assets through sound administrative and operations risk management controls
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skill/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field required; MBA is a plus
- A minimum 10 years’ experience with 5 years of management and supervisory experience in plant operations including 5 years in the oilseed processing/edible oil/soy protein industry or closely related field required
- Prior experience in a unionized environment is strongly preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office required, working knowledge of SAP strongly preferred. Strong financial/business acumen is required to be successful in this role as much of the position entails meeting the budget and productivity requirements of the plant.
- Ability to work self-directed (day to day) with a high level of initiative, priority setting
- Selected candidate must be able to work on average 50 hours per week and be available during business-critical situations

Salary range is $162,350.00-$182,610.00. This role is also eligible to receive an annual incentive bonus.
