Global SAP Controlling

Overview: 

The person in this role demonstrates a high level of professionalism, prioritizing the integrity and strategic insights derived from financial and operational data within the Business Technology function, specifically in the Global SAP CoE.

The Global SAP Controlling Lead owns the strategy and design of the SAP CO functional domain within a global template implementation. You will drive the harmonization of controlling processes, ensure best-practice adoption (e.g., Clean Core), and manage the integration between controlling and other modules (FI, MM, PP, SD). This role involves leading global design workshops, managing stakeholder expectations at the management level, and guiding internal/external consultants.This role requires building strong partnerships and fostering talent while driving results through high standards and effective change management.

Main Accountabilities:

• Oversee and manage significant operational plans and projects within the Global SAP Controlling function, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.
• Lead and influence large-scale initiatives, providing leadership and support to professional staff within the Global SAP CoE.
• Contribute to the development and execution of short to mid-term (1-3 years) talent optimization plans to support strategic objectives in the controlling area.
• Take accountability for the successful results of large and moderately complex projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Provide valuable input on resource planning and the development of financial policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement departmental plans that contribute to the overall financial strategy of Bunge, leveraging recognized expertise in the field.
• Analyze and resolve complex problems where existing precedents may not apply, contributing to the delivery of innovative solutions.
• Guide daily activities of support staff and provide general supervision, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.

Education/Experience: 

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are highly desirable.
• Requires 11-15 years of progressively responsible position-related functional management experience in a (SAP) global controlling or finance role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge and Technical Competencies: 

• Strategy & Governance: Create and enforce global standards for SAP CO, including product costing, cost center accounting, and profitability analysis (CO-PA), ensuring compliance with both statutory and corporate requirements.
• Template Design & Implementation: Lead the end-to-end design, configuration, and testing of the SAP CO template, focusing on scalability and standardization across multiple regions.
• Integration Management: Ensure seamless integration of CO with SAP FI (General Ledger, Asset Accounting), Production Planning (PP), and Sales/Services.
• Stakeholder Management: Facilitate workshops with finance leadership to translate complex business needs into functional specifications, challenging assumptions to drive best practices.
• Team Leadership: Guide and mentor junior consultants/functional analysts, acting as the escalation point for complex technical or business issues.
• Data & Process Optimization: Analyze existing financial processes, identify improvements, and manage data migration for master/transactional data. Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex financial information clearly.
