Overview:  We are looking for an experienced Innovation – Sr. Engineer to join Bunge’s BT Tech Innovation team. The Innovation – Sr. Engineer will be responsible for playing a pivotal role in driving innovation, contributing as a key individual to the development of cutting-edge solutions that leverage the latest technologies to enhance Bunge's core business activities. As part of a global team, this individual will collaborate on challenging and meaningful projects that directly impact the company's success. 

Essential Functions:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative solutions, with a primary focus on Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Multimodal Systems, and the creation of sophisticated Generative AI Agents utilizing various agent frameworks. This includes leveraging platforms like Google's Gemini where applicable.
• Spearhead practical applications of Generative AI, particularly through agent-based systems or multimodal understanding, in areas like robotics, integrating these with broader enterprise systems.
• Actively contribute to a culture of innovation by participating in intrapreneurship or entrepreneurship programs and by proposing and exploring new technical approaches for innovative projects.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders, to ensure seamless integration of innovative solutions into Bunge's operations.
• Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to identify opportunities for improvement and drive innovation within the organization.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data analytics to enhance Bunge's decision-making processes and optimize business outcomes.
• Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify and evaluate potential risks and challenges associated with innovative projects, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful implementation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related technical field.
• Professional software development experience, including a significant and demonstrable recent track record in designing, building, and deploying advanced Generative AI solutions, including deep practical experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Multimodal Systems, and Generative AI Agents/Agent Frameworks.
• Proven ability to architect and implement innovative, scalable, and reusable applications and tools that leverage cutting-edge Generative AI technologies to solve complex real-world problems.
• Experience thriving in fast-paced, agile development environments and collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams on complex AI-driven projects.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, coupled with a profound passion for continuous learning and staying at the forefront of the rapidly evolving
• Generative AI landscape.
• Deep, demonstrable proficiency with Generative AI models and platforms, including extensive experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Multimodal Systems, the development of Generative AI Agents, and various agent frameworks. Familiarity with leading platforms such as Google's Vertex AI and its Gemini models is important.
• Strong programming skills (e.g., Python) essential for developing, fine-tuning, and deploying advanced Generative AI systems, including custom LLM applications, multimodal integrations, and AI agents.
• Experience with applying Generative AI, including agentic approaches or multimodal understanding, to real-world applications such as robotics platforms.
• Understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures necessary for training, deploying, and managing large-scale Generative AI systems, including LLMs and complex agent frameworks.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, Azure) for training, deploying, managing, and scaling Generative AI models and infrastructure for LLMs, multimodal applications, or AI agents.
• Proficiency in data visualization and analytics tools to interpret results from complex Generative AI models and effectively communicate insights from projects involving LLMs, multimodal systems, or agents
