BUNGE has an exciting opportunity available for a Senior FP&A Analyst. This role is as a core part of the running and controlling our business with three main pillars: Analysis and Decision support, Forecasting and Special Projects. It combines in-depth analysis of operational and financial data to help align business processes and strategies with financial goals, identification of opportunities for improvement of our industrial assets and business and evaluation of the progress toward those goals. Reporting to the CFO of Bunge Iberica, the Senior FP&A Analyst will play a crucial role in the Finance Team by actively participating on performing forecasting and analysis that supports business and corporate decisions. Finally, this role is also key in building knowledge and peer understanding, standardizing and sharing best practices in analysis & reporting, always leveraging systems usage.

Note: you are ideally located in Barcelona to obtain this job, however, we will also consider relocations.

 

 

 

 

Main responsibilities:

 

  • Ongoing support to Country Commercial Leads, Plant Managers and CFO of Iberica in follow up & analysis of markets, positions, margins to ultimately achieve a no surprise PNL environment and early warning to support decision making. Ability to challenge assumptions and results, push for continuous improvement and participate proactively in the strategy.
  • Lead the preparation of yearly Industrial Business Plan and monthly forecasts.
  • Monthly analysis of results and drivers. Clarify and summarize deviation in business performance vs. expectations. Ultimate responsible for Daily position and Commercial PNL reporting accuracy. Support management in identifying issues and opportunities and address them.
  • Monthly reconciliation between estimates (by reviewing it) and accounting. Grant Accuracy on PNL impacts arising from Structural Margin, Trading, Execution costs and logistic decisions ensuring compliance with current processes and policies. Analysis, control and improve Operating working capital (utilize OpWC to maximize results and returns). Submission of KPIs reporting.
  • Establish strong, fluent and fruitful connectivity with all stakeholders: Commercial team, Middle Office team, Plant managers, Finance Team, HR...
  • Preparation of structured information for Senior Management for performance calls, Business review meetings, Executive committee meetings, Planning meetings and Forecast. Create and prepare ad hoc information as required by Senior Management.
  • Preparation of monthly reports according to Group's instructions.
  • Cost control and analysis of all plant expenses and KPI’s, identifying root causes and trends.
  • Work together and proactively with key plant stakeholders to detect potential cost deviation, mitigation plans or saving opportunities and follow up on their execution and results.
  • Support financial accounting team preparing accruals of variable cost related to our industrial assets.
  • Support projects in automatization (e.g. Operations, Finance, BT/IT), process rebuilding and process/software (Tableau, SAP) improvements.
  • Analysis of new business opportunities, preparing and validating the necessary project applications for the approval of new Capex Projects.

 

 

 

We are looking for different skills in our ideal candidate:

 

  • +/- 6 years’ experience in positions related to Financial Planning, Accounting, Auditing with reporting background.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis.
  • Experience in preparing management reports and support management functions.
  • Exposure to a commodity trading environment incl. derivative, MTM, foreign exchange and market risk concepts are a plus.
  • A bachelor’s degree in either Finance, Accounting or Engineering.
  • Languages: English and Spanish.
  • Strong information system skills (Excel, OS, SAP, …) is a plus.
