Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager - Integration to lead and mentor our integration team. This role requires a deep understanding of integration technologies, particularly SAP BTP Integration Suite, MuleSoft, or similar iPaaS solutions, and a strong grasp of event-driven architecture (EDA). The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader capable of managing a team, contributing to development efforts, and ensuring successful project delivery. Fluency in English is a must.
Responsibilities:
· Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and guide a team of integration engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. This includes responsibilities such as hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development.
· Technical Expertise: Possess expert-level knowledge of SAP BTP Integration Suite, MuleSoft, or other comparable iPaaS platforms. Demonstrate a strong understanding of EDA principles, message queues (e.g. RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ), and event streaming platforms. Stay current with the latest advancements in integration technologies and best practices.
· Hands-on Development: Actively participate in coding, design reviews, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and efficiency of integration solutions. Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
· Vendor Management: Oversee and manage relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring they meet project deadlines, adhere to quality standards, and deliver value.
· Project Delivery: Ensure successful delivery of integration projects within budget and timeline constraints. This involves collaborating with various stakeholders, managing resources, and mitigating risks.
· Solution Architecture: Contribute to the design and architecture of integration solutions, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and alignment with business requirements. This includes designing and implementing EDA-based solutions where appropriate, leveraging message brokers and event streaming technologies. This may also involve defining integration standards and best practices.
· Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve integration processes, tools, and methodologies. Promote a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
· Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Technical Lead in an integration environment.
· Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite, MuleSoft, or other similar iPaaS platform.
· Experience with various integration patterns and protocols, such as REST, SOAP, OData, EDI.
· Solid understanding and practical experience with EDA principles, message queues (e.g. RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ), and event streaming platforms.
· Experience with Agile development methodologies.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
· Fluent English language skills (written and spoken).
Additional Skills (Beneficial):
· Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
· Knowledge of microservices architecture and API design principles.
· Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
· Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
· Experience with SQL and noSQL databases.
· Proficiency with Java and other relevant programming languages
