Overview:

The Solution Architect focuses on designing and implementing technology solutions within specific business domains, requiring collaboration with stakeholders and third-party partners. This role requires a technically insightful individual with a solid understanding of both application and systems architecture and a passion for delivering effective solutions. The Solution Architect will impact Bunge's technology landscape within their assigned domains, contributing to the overall technical strategy. Bunge builds systems for a diverse range of business domains, including Supply Chain, Freight, Logistics, Commercial, Agribusiness, Food Solutions, Origination, Sustainability, Financial and Credit, Risk, Industrial Operations, Safety, Corporate Systems, HR, Finance, Procurement, Legal, and more.

Essential Functions:

Main Accountabilities:

· Technology role focused on translating business needs into robust technical solutions, owning the end-to-end solution architecture.

· Design and implement solutions within specific business domains, collaborating with internal and external partners.

· Partner with Enterprise Architects to ensure solutions align with the overall technology strategy and roadmap.

· Effectively manage multiple parallel development streams.

· Proactively identify and address technical risks and challenges, demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities.

· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers.

Knowledge and Technical Competencies:

· Expertise in application and systems architecture, with a focus on the latter.

· Maintains a technology-agnostic mindset grounded in practical experience, with a solid foundation in one or more key areas:

o Java, .NET, or other ecosystems

o Cloud engineering (GCP preferred, AWS)

o SAP

o Salesforce

o Integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Tibco, SAP BTP)

o Data concepts (structured and unstructured)

o BI solutions (e.g., Tableau, MS Power BI).

· Understanding of design patterns and modern architectures (e.g. microservices, micro frontends).

· Experience with tools and platforms like Azure DevOps or Bamboo.

· Solid understanding of industry-standard protocols and formats (e.g., RESTful, SOAP, XML, JSON, AMQP, JMS, delimited, OAuth).

· Good knowledge of API and integration layers, including API patterns, queues, and messaging.

· Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., AlloyDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle).

· Practical experience with code review, refactoring, design patterns, design-driven development, continuous deployment, and highly scalable applications.

Minimum Requirements:

Education/Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree a plus).

· 8+ years of experience in technology.

· 2+ years of experience in Solution, Systems, or Application Architecture.

· Excellent English language proficiency for daily communication.

· Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum.
