Senior Trader

Are you a highly motivated and experienced grain trading professional with a deep understanding of Central Asian, Chinese, and European markets? Do you excel at forging strong relationships, negotiating complex deals, and driving strategic growth? We are looking for a Senior Trader to join our dynamic Commercial team in Kazakhstan.

About the Role:
As a Senior Trader, you will be instrumental in driving our company's grain trading activities, focusing on wheat and barley. You will be responsible for sourcing and engaging reliable partners, negotiating and executing transactions, and safeguarding company interests throughout the entire deal lifecycle. We are looking for a candidate with a proactive mindset and excellent market insights and a strategic mindset.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Actively searching for potential grain sellers and buyers, and attracting reliable agricultural producers for long-term collaborations.
• Leading and participating in negotiations for grain acquisition and sale transactions, ensuring the company's interests are protected.
• Ensuring timely communication with the Trade Execution Unit for contract conclusion and execution.
• Identifying and addressing reasons for counterparty contract violations, taking measures to prevent them, and participating in dispute resolution.
• Timely informing the Financial Department about upcoming grain acquisition and sale transactions for hedging purposes.
• Initiating the timely conclusion of grain purchase and sale agreements and registration of transactions on relevant exchanges.

What We're Looking For:

Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong market knowledge of grain trading in Central Asia, China, and Europe.
• Comprehensive understanding of grain and oilseed markets, export operations, logistics, and international trade regulations.
• Proven expertise in risk management, hedging strategies, and market analysis tools.
• Advanced analytical and strategic planning skills, with the ability to interpret market trends into actionable business strategies.

• Strong capability to cultivate relationships, influence others effectively, and develop talent.

Education & Experience:

• A university degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
