Role Purpose Statement |
Support product & process developments of edible oils & fats for large industrial customers in areas of varied food applications |

Main Accountabilities |
Safety in Oils & Fats R&D function * Support key customer product developments, renovate their existing products, scale up, cost effectiveness, regulations etc * Conduct pilot scale product development & analytical testing, scale ups, perform customer documentations etc. * Engage actively with customers to jointly cocreate & enable smooth roll out of NPD’s, renovations, cocreate etc * Engage with plant teams for timely certification, audits, documentation etc * Interact with Bunge global research teams on innovation and technical matters. * Keep abreast on latest consumer, food & regulatory trends |

Technical |
Knowledge and Skills: * Working knowledge of Oils & fats Chemistry, Processing Technology, Formulations, food chemistry etc. with regard to Oils, Vanaspati, Bakery shortenings & margarines, specialty oils & fats for various food applications. * Basic knowledge of various macro & micro food ingredients & additives, their role in various food applications, physical and chemical interactions and their safe dosages. * Basic Knowledge of Indian Food Laws such as FSSAI, FPO etc and working knowledge on international laws such as FAO, WHO, EU Regulations, Codex etc * Working knowledge of food safety, microbiology, process control aspects, functional and protective packaging * Ability to carry out product, process and packaging development with cost optimization by understanding synergies that exist in various food products & industries with limited supervision. Special features of job: *Ability to manage product & process development and identify synergies among various operations & food applications. Other requirements: * Good at computers & presentation skills. * Travel to factories, markets etc |

Education & Experience |
* First Class Graduate in Chemical Engineering / Food Technologist (or) / Masters in Chemistry from a Premier * Above 4 years in Oils & Fats / Food / Chemical Process Industries in R&D function Personality requirements * Good Analytical & Problem Solving ability * Effective Communication Skills * Entrepreneurial Spirit * Ability to see synergies * For behaviour competencies please refer to the Bunge Leadership Model |
