We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager Product Development (Data) professional, software, data warehouse architecture and engineering expert to join the Risk & Commercial Analytics Systems organization.

What you will be doing as Senior Manager Product Development (Data)?

• Lead the overall technical architecture and design of the data warehouse and surrounding applications with the collaboration of development team and Business Technology teams,
• Lead the development of complex, multi-component product helping to optimize the work and decision-making processes of Risk Management and Commercial functions,
• Collaborate with Product Owner (PO) and Business Stakeholders to understand product vision, recommend appropriate solutions and provide a technology point of view that could impact product features prioritization,
• Collaborate closely with Risk Management, Commercial and Technology teams, including analysts, developers, engineers, architects, quality assurance, and operations, to ensure product technology solutions are meeting the business needs and technology guidelines, standards and best practices,
• Help the Product Owner to build short and long-term plans, strategies and product roadmap by incorporating the technical aspects and complexities of the envisioned system capabilities,
• Help the Product Owner and Delivery & Operations Manager to build release plans,
• Analyze currently used solutions and suggest new product features to help continuously improve the risk management and commercial analytics capabilities of the organization,
• Identify and communicate the technology dependencies and impediments for the product development and help resolve them by interacting with business and technology partners,
• Together with the product development and support team resolve production incidents and help provide guidance and support for the system users.

What do we expect from our future Senior Manager Product Development (Data)?

• Master’s degree in a technical, computer science or business management field,
• 10+ years of experience in IT product development, data warehouse development (on-premises and in the Cloud), solution architecture, analysis, product ownership or project management (experience managing multiple technology products or initiatives is preferred),
• 8+ years of experience operating in an Agile context,
• 5+ years of experience in managing mid-size to large IT software development teams,
• Experience defining product roadmaps and helping Scrum Development teams to overcome obstacles to deliver technology products,
• Knowledge and practical experience with projects delivered in an agile environment with applied agile frameworks (Scrum and LeSS),
• Experience in coordinating complex IT or business initiatives with multinational and multi-domain scope,
• Experience in operating production-released products and supporting the business users in daily systems operations, preferably within the area of Risk, Commercial Analytics, Research or Pricing systems,
• High familiarity with design patterns, and modern data and application architectures (e.g. microservices, data warehouse, data lake, data lakehouse, event-driven data processing),
• Understanding of relational, multidimensional and row and columnar database engines, and various data warehouse architectures and approaches. Familiarity with the data product / data mesh architecture,
• Experience with data warehouses build on Oracle and BigQuery,
• Understanding of the data streaming techniques, technologies and Google Cloud services (e.g. Dataflow),
• Knowledge of the event-driven architecture and practical experience with the related Google Cloud services (e.g. Eventarc),
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes),
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform).Knowledge of DevOps principles and experience with tools (e.g. Azure DevOps) and implementing CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have: 

• Deep understanding of Google Cloud, including experience with cloud-native services and architectures, especially database and integration related services.
