Main Functions:

  1. Supervise operations in Prepress, Extraction, and meal handling departments, as well as be able to cover on call duties in the EOF and Rail yard.
  2. Interface with other plant management to co-ordinate production schedules, maintenance shutdowns, repair work, etc.

 

Illustrative duties:

  1. Administer employees’ work & vacation schedules, performance reviews, and benefits and timecards.
  2. Ensure employees are treated fairly and consistently.
  3. Ensure compliance with safety programs – enforce if necessary.
  4. Ensure all employees are adequately trained.  Maintain up-to-date training and operations manuals.
  5. Ensure quality, yield, operation, and volume targets are met.
  6. Work to maintain production downtime targets.
  7. Contribute to plant and process troubleshooting.
  8. Maintain good standards of cleanliness and plant housekeeping.
  9. Manage BOM usage and inventory. (hexane, Termin 8, etc.)
  10. Maintain accuracy of inventory reports.
  11. Work with other plant staff to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and food safety programs such as PSM, AIB, HACCP, and ISO.
  12. Maintain good communications between crews and other departments.
  13. Maintain compliance with employee’s association contract.
  14. Maintain satisfactory employee morale.
  15. Maintain communication with peers at other Bunge locations.

 

Key Performance Areas

  1. Plant volumes and changeover schedules are met.
  2. Staffing, vacation, training requirements are met.
  3. Safety program compliance.
  4. Operations downtime:  no more than 2% per year.
  5. Cleanliness, housekeeping and food safety program compliance.

  6. Crush supervisors at other Bunge locations
  7. Suppliers of BOM items (for ordering and delivery only)
