Role Purpose Statement:

To be over all responsible for the bakery production of Krishnapatnam plant and to manage all the activities and to ensure that the market demand is met. The functions managed by the production manager are production, maintenance

Main Accountabilities:

  • Overall responsibility for edible oil bakery production and maintenance activities in Plant.
  • Ensure proper planning scheduling and execution aligned with the sales and operation plan.
  • To ensure the intradepartmental coordination to reduce repairs & maintenance cost, quality, safety, dispatch, food  safety and packing.
  • Maintain Safety frequency & severity Index as per Company Target and identification of unsafe conditions and elimination of unsafe condition.
  • To maintain specific consumption of utilities, ingredients consumptions in margarine as per formulation & manpower as per the actual / budgeted figures for all plant operations this affects variable costs.
  • To reduce variable cost at processing centers –bakery against budgeted nos through BMOS and process optimization.
  • To increase the efficiency of each section by better output and reduced down time.
  • Multiskilling of the team.
  • Optimum utilization of skills of the entire team in order to achieve production targets.
  • To improve process activities by adopting Kaizen in the work area.
  • Daily BMOS reports generation.
  • Monitor in process plant monitoring to adhere with standard norms.
  • To provide active support to SHE Management system implementation for critical items work permit system, accident /incident reporting, safety. training etc. Provide support to organization to meet SHE target.
  • To ensure strict implementation of Safety rules by self & by subordinates.

  • Delivering volumes as per SNOP (Sales and Operation Plan) figures
  • Delivering volumes within budgets

  • Plan V/s Production.
  • Safety Norms – No LTI.
  • Ensure 100% food safety

  • Thorough Knowledge of Bakery process & its products.

Key Relationships, Stakeholders & Interfaces :

  • Internal: Procurement, Refinery, maintenance, Logistics & Quality
  • External: SCM, Marketing, Packaging development team & Vendor Management.

Knowledge and Technical Competencies :

  • Knowledge and experience in: functioning of edible oil plants,  Above average skills in: edible oil processing, packing, utilities like steam, power etc., Excellent skills in: edible oil processing like MS refining Hydrogenation, bakery and margarin, Interesterification, soap splitting, packaging, Compliance to all the Laws applicable to edible oil refineries, 
  • Knowledge of EWM preferable. Knowledge of W&M, FSSAI, Inventory Management, Manpower Management.

Education/Experience :

  • B.Tech in oil technology/ Chemical engineering
  • 8 to 10 years in FMCG
