Role Purpose Statement:

•    Ensure dispatch of finished & Semi Finished goods as per customer schedules & requirement. 
•    Ensure proper yard management.
•    Manage logistics operations within budget for KP.

 

Main Accountabilities:

1. Develop and implement effective logistics strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize delivery routes, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
2. Coordinate and monitor the complete logistics process, from order placement to final delivery, ensuring on-time and accurate delivery (OTIF Target) and manage any issues or delays that may arise.
3. Negotiate and manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, transporters, and CFAs facilities to ensure cost-effective and efficient logistics operations.
4. Collaborate with planners, sales, and internal teams to effectively plan and forecast logistics requirements, ensuring 100% placement accuracy at all times.
5. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards relating to logistics and transportation, specifically in the edible oil industry.
6. Manage and develop a team of logistics professionals, providing leadership, guidance, and training as necessary.
7. Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions within the logistics function.
8. Liaise with carriers to negotiate costs, terms, and agreements for transportation services.
9. Evaluate the performance of logistics service providers, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and maintaining strong relationships.
10. Collaborate with other departments, such as production, sales, and customer service, to ensure seamless coordination and communication across the supply chain.
11. Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to make informed decisions and implement process improvements as needed.
12. Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations in the transportation and delivery of edible oil products.
13. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics operations.
14. Planning, execution and supply of goods by Road / Rail /Sea /Coastal movement and find avenues on multimodal transportations /new routes to save on freight cost.
15. Develop and implement various cost saving initiatives such as direct dispatch increase without impacting the service timelines and service levels
16. Manage the fleet size of 60 – 70 vehicles per day

•    Plan V/s Actual – 100% adherence.
•    Safety Norms No LTI. 
•    100% follow of food safety
•    Safety & Hygiene scores
•    0 Nc in statuary audit


Education/Experience:

1. Graduate /Postgraduate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
2. Proven work experience as a Logistics Manager or a similar role.
3. Strong knowledge of logistics principles, supply chain management, and transportation regulations.
5. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to effectively resolve logistics challenges.
6. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
7. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for managing a team and collaborating with stakeholders.
8. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
9. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
10. Ability to analyze data, generate reports, and make data-driven decisions.
