The Industrial controlling Accountant will be accountable for handling the day to day inventory related operations which includes Warehouse Inventory Management, MIS reporting, Month end provisions, Inventory Cargo Insurance, Liaising with Internal and external auditors, master data management and effective delivery of business services.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the timely completion of activities as part of the Industrial Accounting - Process order correction, Warehouse Inventory reconciliations, Weekly/Monthly MIS reporting, Period-end close & reporting and Master data management
  • Analyse and periodically coordinate the updating of standard costs in the system in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP, IFRS, local GAAP, where applicable) and with Bunge policies During the month-end close, analyse and validate all relevant variances between standard and actual costs. Generate and retained the respective documentation to fulfil SOX and internal control requirements.
  • Monitoring daily reconciliation of the weighing systems and SAP records and providing explanations for and resolve relevant discrepancies.
  • Day to day Industrial Accounting & checking accuracy of inventory movements in SAP
  • Execution of open process order settlement, Month end inventory reconciliation and correction, Obsolete provisions, Stock in transit, storage and transportation and others.
  • Accountable for several MIS Reporting’s like Industrial Consumption, Inventory reconciliation, Process order corrections, Weight Bridge and CMR check, shipment check but not limited to.
  • Coordination with Statutory/internal/SOX auditors to get the controls tested and support in implementation of improvement opportunities.
  • Support the industrial controlling local team to meet the KPI Targets and ensure timely delivery as per the defined SLAs
  • Accountable for evaluating, analysing, reconciling and resolving complex Industrial transactions
  • Improve the business process flow on a continual basis utilizing industry leading practices.
  • Help Team Leaders setting policies and procedures for the Industrial controls.
  • Assist team in trouble shooting and decision making.
  • Identify process improvements to generate productivity within the team by improving current process
  • Partner with Global Insurance to declare stocks, values, and other exposures in an accurate and timely manner. Coordinate the documentation and submission of all insurance claims. Continuously follow up on insurance claims until their final resolution.

 

Knowledge and Experience

Essential:

  • 3 - 5 years of work experience in a similar role, preferably in Industrial controlling with Manufacturing industry/Client setup.
  • Experience in Agribusiness/Commodity trading industry preferred. 
  • Education Qualification – CA/CMA.  with relevant experience.
  • Experience in SAP (Mandatory), BW and One stream (Consolidation)
  • Basic Knowledge & Understanding of SAP Material Module & GTM is preferable.
  • Ability to partner with other BBS Team Managers/ Teams to optimize processes across the BBS.
  • Strong written & oral communications skills in English
  • Strong problem solving & organization skills.
  • Excellent computer skills and competency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Should have past experience of handling team.

 

Distinct Advantage

  • Working experience in a similar Shared Services Centre setup a distinct advantage
  • Prior experience in managing high transaction volumes, with good knowledge of associated controls and procedures.
  • Experience in SAP FICO, MM & GTM modules, workflow tools and document imaging systems
