  Position Summary:


The Inside Sales Representative  primary objective increasing sales by managing smaller volume accounts and development of new customers.  Secondarily, the Inside Sales Representative supports the Sales Managers activities in the territory covering day to day quotes, and interaction, building their knowledge and understanding of the total BLC value proposition.   This role is an excellent growth role to understand the business from bottom up and move to various areas within the Bunge Loders Croklaan organization.


Core Functions:


Sales Activities

  • The inside sales representative reviews current small customers analyzing their makeup determining growth opportunities, overall product portfolio attractiveness, buying style and fit with BLC Vision and Mission
  • The Inside Sales Representative, based on analysis provides recommendation on customer for continued development or reallocation to other sales avenues, notably indirect via distribution. 
  • The insides sales representative works closely with the Regional and National Accounts Managers in the  respective channel becoming inside liaison with the various departments assisting in trouble shooting, connecting customers to support network, and overall becoming a key individual providing best in class customer service.
  • Develop strong understanding of customer based and need by building understanding of commodity and foreign exchange markets, and their influence on product prices.
  • Under the guidance of the pricing team and sales managers translate quotes, internal shipping requirements, specifications, documentation and other order specific details to Customer Support & customer.
  • Liaise with departments within BLC to support customer needs from trouble shooting to solutions.
  • Support marketing & sales efforts in the trade by assisting in preparation for and attendance at industry trade shows. 
  • Ensure compliance with all work processes in accordance with Bunge's safety policies, procedures and culture, including but not limited to driving and customer on-site trials.

Communication and Administration Activities

  • Under guidance of RAM, NAMs & Directors, manage sales accounts using CRM tool.
  • Under guidance of RAMs, NAMs & Directors manage accounts buying habits through forecasting in BLC forecasting tool
  • Working closely with Team Analyst scope and deliver reporting for territories/channels. 
  • Make use of software and various social media applications such as Linked In to promote BLC

Skills/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Food Science, Business or related industry
  • 2+ years’ experience in selling channels in Food Industry or related B2B environment
  • Previous experience of BI tools (e.g. Tableau, reporting
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Language skills are an asset
  • Passion for selling and building marketing leading customer experience
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate across teams and to work in a diverse, fast paced environment
  • Creative thinker and problem solver with a bias towards thoughtful action.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence business decisions and outcomes without direct line authority.
  • Must be self-motivated, have high level of energy, and able to plan/develop strategies that support the goals of the business plan.Must demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
