What you will be doing as Legal Counsel?

• Provide legal support to Bunge Hungary and functional areas of Bunge cross border, also in collaboration with legal department at group level.
• Mainly supporting Agribusiness, Execution, Logistics, And Procurement (main focus on non-industrial) in the fields of contracts, disputes and litigious proceedings, corporate matters, compliance/regulatory.
• Work closely with Hungarian business based on understanding of their business, environment, strategic legal issues, challenges and opportunities, key customers, competitors and suppliers.
• Advise on, draft or review commercial documentation binding the company to minimize exposures. Define and implement standards and processes for legal contracts and templates within the areas covered.
• Provide legal assistance on certain corporate projects and matters. Support the Associate General Counsel Hungary with oversight for Romania in providing legal assistance on specific corporate development projects acquisitions, divestments, mergers and joint ventures. Collaborate with the financial departments in legal aspects of financial issues and manage corporate issues.
• Manage the representation of the company before authorities, administrative or before quasi-judicial agencies.
• Advise on pre-litigation resolution of commercial disputes and settlements. Define and implement measures for minimizing claims.
• Support the Associate General Counsel Hungary with oversight for Romania in managing arbitrations and any other litigation arising.
• Conduct trainings on topics falling within the scope of responsibilities.

What do we expect from our future Legal Counsel?

• 5+ years’ experience in an international law firm and/or as an in-house attorney in a multinational corporation,
• Fluent English,
• Experience gained by providing legal support to Agribusiness activities (particularly with international footprint)  is an advantage,
• Experience gained by providing legal support to commercial business activities (particularly in the field of FMCG) may be an advantage,
• Admission to the bar is an advantage.
