Due to Bunge continuing to grow and expand in the Western Australian market there is a requirement to increase our resourcing requirements at an accumulation level. This is a key sales role working with the Regional Manager, with the primary focus to originate grain and to manage key grower relationships and providing full support to ensure that all policies and objectives are successfully met.



Main Accountabilities

  • Sales and Marketing
    • Grow Bunge’s regional grain origination and accumulation in regional WA to support the growth of Bunge’s WA Supply Chain (ie Bunbury export terminal and receival facilities at Arthur River and Kukerin).
    • Drive customer segmentation and profiling through both formal surveys and also data gathered through regular communications
    • Generate a strong understanding of environmental and market impacts of harvest flows from a volume and a timing point of view
    • Manage and expand on strong relationships with current and prospective grower stakeholders to ensure Bunge’s strategic direction is met
    • Significantly promote the development of the Bunge Brand in WA.
    • Work with other team members  on the development of any necessary marketing plans required to support business objectives
  • Sales Execution
    • Coordinate activities within WA pertaining to the grower grain contracts and administration, insuring accurate contract recording and efficient, timely contract execution.
    • Prepare and review any operational reports and schedules as required
    • Work closely with operations and logistics team in Bunbury and Melbourne
  • Strategy Planning
    • Align closely with the commercial team in Melbourne to ensure key influences from the WA market are communicated and directional strategy has best chance of success
    • Participate in Supply and Demand discussions at a local and wider level particularly where WA production and demand is involved
  • Proactively establish and maintain professional internal and external relationships in line with Bunge’s core values.



Job Requirement

  • Degree in Business discipline, Agriculture or related field of study desirable
  • Approximately 5-10  years in the grain or associated agricultural industry is ideal
  • An understanding of the WA grain industry
  • Ability to connect and display empathy with grower customers
  • Strong understanding of customer, market dynamics and requirements
  • Drive, energy, enthusiasm and entrepreneurial  attitude
  • Requirement to travel 25-50% of time to maximise success rate of connecting with grower customers
