Bunge Industrial Plant Maintenance Mechanic

Rate of Pay $27.00- $29.00 based on experience.

Normal Schedule is Monday – Friday 7AM – 3PM

Must be willing to work a rotating on call schedule.

Location: Cairo, Illinois

 

Industrial mechanic responsible for providing a wide range of maintenance, corrective repairs, and upkeep of the plant’s operational equipment through welding, piping, and rebuilding.  Ideal candidate has a desire to develop skills for further advancement.  Future Bunge associate must be passionate about workplace safety and innovation.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Methodical use of hand tools, power tools, measurement devices including calipers, welders, pipe fitting equipment, cutting torch, safely lifting and rigging using cables & slings. etc.
     
  • Analytical troubleshooting and expert repair of pumps, centrifugal, rotary, and positive displacement pumps.
     
  • Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment; plan and take corrective action; make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
     
  • Working knowledge of Laser Alignment, Ultrasonic and Lubrication
    Replace gearboxes, drive couplings, chain drives, and belt drives.

     
  • Timely completion of tasks and work orders with appropriate documentation according to standard operating procedures, applicable standards, guidelines, and policies.
     
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.

 

  • Attention to details and ability to transcribe handwritten data logs.
     
  • Willingness to complete other duties as assigned by leadership.
     

Education: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

 

Experience:

  • 2-5 years or more of major industrial maintenance experience.

 

Competencies:

  • Certifications for welding, electrical training, or industrial maintenance training. 

 

  • Blueprint and electrical schematic reading ability a plus.
