Gatehouse Representative

The purpose of this position is the security for the entrance gate of industrial plant and grounds, warehouse, or other property to control traffic to and from buildings and grounds.

Main Accountabilities:

• Opens gate to allow entrance or exit of employees, truckers, contractors, and authorized visitors.
• Issues visitor passes to everyone and magnetic signs for any vehicle entering the plant and verify that all visitors have an appointment by contacting the person they are here to see.
• Direct visitors and truckers to various parts of grounds or buildings.
• Supervise use of time clocks and/or sign in sheets for recording arrival and departure of employees and visitors.
• Answer telephone and transfer calls when switchboard is closed, forwarding them to appropriate department.
• Check in and out all inbound and outbound trucks, including scale operation, seal application, paperwork, SAP, records management, and driver’s instructions.
• Print bills of lading and assemble order packets for drivers, warehouse loads.
• Enter BOL information into SAP and file all paperwork once order has been completed.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Microsoft Office experience
• SAP experience a plus
