Position Summary:

The “Finishing Supervisor” is responsible for delivering the process plan, on time, on budget with acceptable quality and safety. The Finishing Supervisor shall carry out all functions of the department to include the management/movement of oil in 800, efficient operation of packaging and delivery to the warehouse.   The individuals will organize activities and clearly communicate expectations. This role will work 12 hour night shift, from 6p-6a.  

Core Functions:

• Drives CI, Safety and Quality initiatives in the department.
• Demonstrates leadership of the department.
• Delivers established OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) and all other operational metrics.
• Communicates the above to the department via graphs, charts and other postings.
• Conducts shift meetings to clearly communicate targets/goals and expectations.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting, as it relates to operating equipment and processing systems.
• Ensures activities/plans are communicated to all personnel. Ensures effective delivery of the schedule, including supplies, oil, crewing, to optimize efficiencies and minimize down time. 
• Ensures complete and thorough information transfer at shift change, including line status, production reconciliation, crewing needs and supply issues to the next shift supervisor and department manager.
• Timely communication and follow up with maintenance/repairs/work orders.
• Responsible for the completion and accuracy of all paperwork.
• Ensures guidance/training to operators.
• Participates in weekly safety and food safety audits. Notifies management with non-compliance issues.
• Prepares and supports recommendations for improvements in methods, processes, productivity and quality.
• Conducts counseling and formal discipline of department employees.
• All other duties as assigned by the department manager.

Skill/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Has good organizational skills and detailed oriented.
• Demonstrates the ability to work in a collaborative manner and holds others to the same standard.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
• SAP experience a plus
• Must be able to communicate effectively across all disciplines within the organization while functioning as a team player with other departments.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
