Overview:

The Benefits & HR Services Specialist will assist with the administration of Bunge North America’s (BNA) retirement, health and welfare benefit plans.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain and administer retirement, health and welfare plans as assigned.  These may include pension, defined contribution, medical, dental, life, COBRA, flexible spending and retiree medical plans and associated data entry, HR system coordination and/or account management.
  • Administer tuition reimbursement and scholarship programs.
  • Administer funding of assigned retirement plans.
  • Support compliance needs of the department, including ACA activities and distribution of benefits notifications and other required communications.
  • Interact with HR Business Partner team members as well as active employees and retirees to resolve benefit related issues.
  • Lead activities related to company wellness program in coordination with third party provider.
  • Assist with integration activities related to mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Assist with new hire orientation for NA region headquarter employees.
  • Financial reconciliation and payment of vendor invoices and account balances.
  • Participate in annual enrollment events.
  • Identify opportunities to drive efficiency and improve processes.
  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place, self-auditing work as needed.
  • May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field with 2 years of benefits administration experience preferred OR, if no degree, 4 years of HR experience with some exposure to benefits administration
  • Demonstrated analytical, customer service and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task, think independently and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Prior experience working with confidential information with the ability to use discretion as required
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work periodically under pressure and meet tight deadlines as required
