Overview:
Bunge’s Total Rewards Team delivers programs that empower employees to maximize their health and financial well-being so they can do and be their best. Reporting to the Senior Director, Total Rewards Center of Expertise (CoE), the Senior Manager, Retirement Benefits will lead retirement programs from strategy through implementation and transformation to attract and retain world class talent. This position manages day to day development and delivery of retirement programs across North America.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manages all aspects of employee retirement plans and policies including implementing new or modified plans and supervises administration of existing retirement plans.
- Ensures US & ERISA retirement benefit plans, policies, and procedures are fully compliant with state and federal regulations. Manages audits and preparations of filings as required by government agencies, including Form 5500.
- Identifies design improvements, issues and/or process breakdowns, makes recommendations and works with internal and external partners to enhance plan design and procedures.
- Participates in retirement committee meetings and in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) for related integration activities.
- Partners with Legal, Treasury, HR Business Partners and other leadership.
- Engages consultants to ensure retirement program strategies and processes are market competitive and forward-looking
- Reviews retirement plans and recommends strategies to mitigate risks.
- Transforms and continually seeks to improve plan offerings and processes.
- Develops and maintains communications tools to enhance understanding of the company’s retirement benefit offerings.
- Supervises one team member including coaching, mentoring, developing and performance management.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field required.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience administering retirement benefit programs in North America.
- Strong knowledge of North American government regulations as they apply to retirement programs, company polices and operations.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency using automated systems to administer retirement benefit programs.
- Subject matter expert in retirement benefit plan regulations including ERISA, 409A and SOX compliance.
- Results oriented with a focus on process improvement and transformation.
- Excellent communication skills including interpersonal, presentation and written communication required with the ability to interact with senior level leadership.
- Detail oriented with proven analytical skills.
- Strong internal and external customer focus with a genuine desire to assist others.
- Effective project management skills and complex problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, be agile, transformative and drive process improvement.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
