Overview:
Drive the development of category best practices, ensure best leverage of Bunge’s volume for regional categories to maximize total cost of ownership savings and procurement value contribution. Supplier negotiations and agreements may occur at the Global, Regional and/or Local level.  A thorough understanding of how specific spends impact the business and every member of the supply chain is crucial to ensure a true total cost of ownership is calculated. Relevant spend areas must be monitored to ensure that identified cost savings are realized and reported. This individual will work closely with key stakeholders to continuously identify new savings opportunities and to monitor spend compliance and resolve service or supplier issues.  We are looking for a self-directed person with the ability to work with minimal supervision and to work independently or in a team environment.  Must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%+ of the time as needed to meet with prospective suppliers, peers and Stakeholders Support and actively participate in safety programs and initiatives and follow all safe work practices Contribute to the team development by setting proper individual development plans and monitoring its implementation.

 

Job Description Detail:
Define Sourcing Plan for the owned categories.
Analyze and set category spend baseline and category profile, incl. risk assessment, Supplier Relationship Management and P2P strategy
Build category specific strategic plan in alignment with the regions and countries;
Create one year and three years strategic sourcing/projects plan for the selected categories
Track North American spend to ensure compliance to strategic procurement programs

 

Best Practice Sharing for all categories:
Coordinate sourcing activities across regions/countries
Define Sourcing Strategy based on best practices
Assess Bunge’s global position for relevant categories and in supply markets and provide input to region specific go-to-market strategies

 

Suppliers Leverage for selected categories:
Support supplier identification and RFX strategy definition
Identify available suppliers that can ship economically to multiple regions/countries
Maintain supplier database (service portfolio, financial KPIs, performance reviews)
Ensure alignment of negotiation timing and contract durations between regions/countries
Lead the Vendor Relationship Management initiatives
Manage supplier performance by, for example, discussing lessons learned from one region and making sure that the supplier builds on those lessons learned to improve service levels in another region

 

Sourcing for selected categories and deliver savings for Bunge:
Manage the procurement strategy implementation / sourcing execution for a set of regional categories
Manage the procurement team and guarantee the application of the entire 7-step sourcing process
Lead supplier selection and fact-based negotiations
Manage the category end-to-end procurement cycle
Act as major point of contact for the business to assure business requirements are met
Conduct spend analysis and track forecasted vs. actual savings for categories in scope
Manage and optimize user compliance
Define improvement plans, create action plans and supervise execution
Manage commercial supplier relationship and contracts
Continuously track performance of key strategic suppliers
Lead key strategic supplier development activities; set up cross-functional review meetings with key strategic suppliers to improve performance and further reduce cost
Identify potential contract improvement opportunities and re-negotiations
Lead the risk management evaluation in a regularly basis

 

Stakeholder Management:
Align action plans with Key Stakeholders
Keep regular communication and interaction
Communicate the regional organization about procurement in both written (memos, letters, presentations, etc.) and verbal (presentations, conference calls, etc.) formats
Lead cross-divisional/cross-functional teams focused on preferred supplier selection; train employees on supplier selection process

 

Skills/Experience Requirements:
Academic background: Bachelor's degree in business or related field required; MBA preferred
Experience: In depth knowledge of the spend area in scope is preferred, with substantial professional experience (7-12 years) in procurement or other related positions, preferably working at FMGC companies.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 
Language skills: Fluency in English essential
Proficient in SAP
