The Bunge Trainee program is an 18-month rotational program through areas of focus to develop knowledge of specific functions.  Focus areas will be determined based on the candidate’s education, experience, and interest. The program entails:

Position Summary:                                    
The Procurement Talent Development Program is designed to build future procurement professionals and to establish bench strength with broad experiences across several procurement functions.  The program is a 18-month rotation with candidates spending approximately 3-4 four months in each area and 4-5 months focused on their final project in one of the core areas.                                    
                                    
Rotational Areas and Key Responsibilities:                                    
The Procurement Trainee is a key member of the Procurement organization.  They will have the opportunity to work on diverse and intellectually stimulating projects within the Northern Hemisphere Procurement team.   They will interact with global Suppliers and stakeholders to build relationships, conduct strategic sourcing events and negotiations, and minimize total cost of ownership considering quality and technical standards. The program spans across 4 core departments:  North America Capital Expenditure, Corporate and Professional Services, North America Industrial Services and Information Technology in which their responsibilities will include:  

                                                                  
·Qualify and develop Suppliers 
·Execute strategic sourcing processes 
·Utilize E-sourcing tool to evaluate proposals                                    
·Lead contract implementation and drive contract compliance for Area categories                   
·Think and problem solve creatively within the functional category network                                     
·In line with defined procurement strategy, monitor and evalaute supplier’s performance and support the classification and categorization of suppliers
·Compliance with business protocols, assessing risks, managing cost and leveraging technology to perform procurement functions.  
                                            
Skills/Experience Requirements:                    
·Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in supply chain, business, procurement, finance, IT, accounting, engineering or a related discipline.                   
·Course work or experience in contract management, accounting, business analysis, project management or business-related field.                        
·Proficiency in other languages is a plus                                    
·Certification in Project Management is a plus                                            
·Analytical and comfortable driving new solutions and providing succinct information to management for decision making                                     
·Continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to quickly grasp processes, identify process improvements opportunities, and challenge the status quo         
·Personal or professional  knowledge and experience using various negotiation methods and the ability to critically analyze a negotiation                  
·Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization                                    
·Ability to work independently while under general supervision 
·Experience working collaboratively with individuals and groups from a wide variety of backgrounds and organization levels, to incorporate their ideas, adapt to their needs, and to form consensus in appropriate situations                                    
·Ability to operate in an ambiguous, fast-paced, multi-cultural work environment.                          
·Advanced skills in using Microsoft Office products (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
