A Day in the Life:
The Role plays a crucial strategic role, orchestrating the organization's integrated business planning process (IBP) as well as Project Management (PMO). IBP involves aligning all business functions— product line management, sales, marketing, finance, supply chain, and operations—around a unified operational plan. IBP synchronizes the company's strategic objectives with its operational capabilities, ensuring resources are effectively utilized to meet customer demand and achieve financial targets. PMO is responsible for establishing and overseeing the strategic direction, implementation, and continuous improvement of project management methodologies. PMO ensures alignment between project execution and overall business objectives, driving successful project delivery, driving accountability to key stakeholders, providing transparency to senior management and maximizing return on investment.
What You'll Be Doing:
IBP Process Leadership:
• Lead, design, implement, and continuously improve NA Oils IBP process.
• Ensure alignment and synchronization across all business functions (sales, product line management, marketing, finance, supply chain, and operations).
• Develop and maintain the IBP roadmap and calendar, outlining key activities and timelines.
• Collaborate with demand and supply planning teams to develop accurate forecasts and capacity plans.
• Integrate financial planning into the IBP process, ensuring alignment between operational plans and financial targets.
• Analyze financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Facilitate IBP meetings, bringing together key stakeholders to review performance, identify gaps, and make decisions.
• Communicate IBP plans and progress to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and present IBP performance reports and dashboards.
• Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of the IBP process.
• Track and analyze IBP performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the IBP process.
Project Management Office:
o Define the PMO's mission, vision, and strategic objectives, aligning them with the organization's overall strategic goals.
o Develop and implement PMO governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and best practices based on industry standards
o Establish and maintain a Project Management Center of Excellence, fostering a culture of project management excellence throughout the organization.
o Oversee portfolio management, ensuring alignment of projects with strategic priorities and resource allocation.
o Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to enhance project management skills and capabilities within and beyond the North American Oils team.
o Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and provide regular feedback to team members.
Project Delivery & Execution:
o Oversee the execution of all projects within the North American Oils portfolio, ensuring adherence to established methodologies, standards, and quality controls.
o Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful project completion.
o Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders.
o Develop and maintain comprehensive project reporting and dashboards to track progress, performance, and key metrics.
o Communicate project status, risks, and issues to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
o Prepare presentations and reports for senior leadership, steering committees, and other relevant audiences.
o Regularly evaluate PMO processes and practices, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
o Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in project management.
o Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the PMO.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field. MBA preferred.
7+ years of experience in business planning, supply chain management, or a related field.
Deep understanding of IBP principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in software and reporting tools.
