Overview:
Sr Manager of Business Development and Marketing to lead the successful market entry and growth of low carbon intensity seeds portfolio. This role involves collaborating across industry partners and internal departments, building relationships with stakeholders, and implementing new initiatives to drive adoption and sustainability in modern agriculture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, summarize, and lead the execution of a comprehensive crop season strategies for the successful introduction and adoption of our low carbon intensity seeds portfolio.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather market insights, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to refine and optimize our product offerings.
• Coordinate knowledge development and conduct market research to inform market sizing, pricing, discreate customer segments and scalable marketing strategies.
• Identify and develop marketing incentives tailored to different stages of our commercial plans.
• Build strong relationships with local farmers groups to encourage the transition to sustainable cropping practices aligned with our low carbon portfolio.
• Create compelling value propositions and innovative marketing initiatives targeting selected farmers segments and industry stakeholders.
• Lead negotiations with establish partners, distributors, suppliers, insurance agents, and other external stakeholders to position and promote benefits of portfolio.
• Utilize advanced data analytics to interpret sales trends, assess crop season performance and accelerate learning and knowledge transfer within and across geographic clusters to meet adoption targets.
• Act as a liaison with customers and commercial teams to understand certification and compliance requirements, enabling access to international markets and government incentives.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field with 10+ years of experience in relevant agricultural industry segments.
• In-depth knowledge of agricultural inputs, including seeds, crop protection, nutrition, and precision practices.
• Comprehensive understanding of cover crops systems, regenerative agriculture principles, and sustainable practices.
• Familiarity with US and global biofuels industry regulations, carbon markets, and contract requirements.
• Experience with ISCC, RFS, LCFS, MVRs, and registry landscape and players is advantageous.
• Proven leadership experience in business development, marketing, or strategic management within the agriculture industry.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to foster strategic relationships.
• Proficiency in analyzing complex market dynamics and translating data insights into visionary decisions.
