Sustainability Analyst - Life Cycle Assessment

Position Summary:

The Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) analyst will execute life cycle assessments initiatives with internal (R&D, Sales, Industrial JV, Sustainability, Procurement) and with external stakeholders (Customers, Suppliers, Expert) to drive progress in key Environmental areas (GHG Emissions, water use, air contamination…). In this global role you will need to partner with many stakeholders within the entire organization while executing on LCA and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) on raw materials, products and services.  You will also need to educate and influence strategic and operational decision making through data driven approach.

In addition, you will also support customer needs through customized Environmental product / services solutions (e.g. lower Carbon Intensity products, carbon inset/offset, Regenerative Agricultural practices change). 

Main Accountabilities: 

·         Execute & Support LCA/PCF studies in accordance with LCA/PCF Governed Process
·         Develop and maintain a proprietary Bunge LCA/PCF Database or Tool with external support
·         Support and maintain an understanding of current product environmental footprint (PEF) regulation
·         Engage & Support on LCA/PCF study requested through consultants (incl. quotation, follow-up, review…)
·         Support & educate Subject Matter expertise for integrating LCA/PCF in inset/offset of products and services
·         Engage and integrate LCA/PCF studies within our global Environmental footprint reduction journey
·         Support internal/external communication around LCA/PCF topics across functions/geographies
·         Support on other customer sustainability solutions such as Regenerative Agriculture projects

Skills/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelors degree required, masters preferred in related fields (Environmental Science, Sustainability, Data Engineering)
• 2-5 years of experience in a similar role (preferably LCA/PCF Analyst, or relevant experience in Sustainability)
• Previous experience with LCA/PCF 
• Previous experience with Carbon Reporting
• Agriculture / Food sector strong interest
• Climate Change strong interest
• Energy and renewables strong interest 
• Excellent analytical skills; well organized, data savvy, detailed oriented and a skilled communicator.
