Position Summary:
Analyze trade execution requirements for container and bulk tanker oil trade flows (food, feed and fuel ingredients) to determine the most timely and efficient options for shipping instructions distribution, document issuance and invoicing transactions from the buyers in accordance with U.S. and foreign regulations.  The position requires active utilization of global platforms to support e-Documentation and digitization to streamline facilitation of cross-border trade execution activities.  

 

Core Functions:
•    Expeditiously analyze, understand, align, and execute trade flows in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
•    Issuance of timely container shipping instructions to meet port documentary cut-off requirements and managing the relationships with Freight Forwarders and Non-Vessel Owning Common Carriers (NVOCC) for expediency of title documents issuance and release. 
•    Liaise with sales, customer service and plant teams on container loading activities and procurement of plant loading documents to create and issue documents required.
•    Secure legalization of documents from Embassies & Consulates as required.
•    Creation and issuance of bulk tanker Loading Instructions to export loading terminals in accordance with contract terms, trading rules, customer requirements and operational planning.
•    Responsible for selection, coordination and/or oversight of activities performed by surveyors, independent labs, and vessel agents.
•    Liaise with commercial teams, logistics and surveyors on tanker oil loading activities and procurement of vessel loading documents to create and issue required documents.
•    Oversight of contract execution for application and settlement of export contracts, including responsibility for third party and affiliate invoice transactions.
•    Ensure timely Electronic Export Information filing and revision requests to the internal Customs Compliance team in accordance with US law.

•    Responsible for resolution of concerns for value chain stakeholders, etc.to ensure timely processing and submission of documentation package. 
•    Maintain shipment files and documentation in good order as per BNA Record Retention policy within the system of record and in accordance with US and Canadian law. 
•    Evaluate and engage opportunities to support e-Document issuance for all global trade flows.  
•    Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Skills/Experience Requirements:
•    Bachelor’s degree in related field required
•    Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task adjusting priorities as necessary to meet shifting time-sensitive deadlines
•    Demonstrated proficiency in electronic business systems, including Microsoft 365 apps and other standard business software
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Three years of applicable import, export, logistics or international trade related experience is preferred, but not required
•    SAP/GTM experience is preferred, but not required 
•    Working knowledge or fluency in Spanish is preferred, not required
