Position Details:

The Refinery Operator is assigned to a rotating shift.  The position is paid $26.74 per hour.  Health and welfare benefits begin on date of hire and there is an annual bonus.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Must actively participate in Bunge’s Employee Safety Involvement Plan
  • Maintain a safe work environment for oneself and all employees.
  • Refinery Control Room processes include Deodorization, Refined/Bleached, Hydrogenation, and Gas Plant; Cross training - it is expected that individuals train and learn to run each of these processes.
  • Oil Load Out processes include loading rail cars and trucks for shipment of oil products and unloading rail cars and trucks of crude soybean and cottonseed oil.
  • Operate and control Refinery oil processing equipment/machines while following the set production schedule; adjust and maintain operating parameters to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Maintain wastewater parameters.
  • Collect tank and production stream samples of oil products for lab analysis.
  • Follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and maintain the cleanliness of processing area.
  • Must be highly motivated and be able to work without constant supervision.
  • Commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site's food safety management system; and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a safety conscious environment.
  • Some mechanical background including the ability to recognize signs of operational failure.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills
  • Must be able to proficiently read and write in English for the purposes of record keeping and safety and quality training processes.
  • Must be willing and able to work rotating shift.
  • Overtime will be required both as part of the normal schedule and to provide coverage as needed.
