Lays out, constructs, installs, removes and repairs various sheetmetal articles with respect to quality, safety and sanitation in an efficient manner.





 1.   Reads and interprets drawings, sketches, and layouts.

 2.   Selects proper metal for all sheetmetal work.

 3.   Sets up and operates all sheetmetal equipment including hard surfacing.

 4.   Performs lay-out and cuts various designs as may be designated using proper tools and materials.

 5.   Performs all operations necessary for the construction or repair of equipment and devices designated.

 6.   Removes or replaces various articles of material or equipment of a sheetmetal nature.

 7.   Properly maintains all materials and equipment.

 8.   Fabricates and installs all spouting.

 9.   Fabricates all reservoirs made of sheetmetal.

10.  Fabricates all electrical junction boxes made of sheetmetal.

11.  Fabricates, installs and maintains all cyclones.

12.  Repairs Kelly system sample tubes.

13.  Maintains shop cleanliness.

  1. Maintains a clean and orderly work area and removes material and equipment from job site.
  2. Performs miscellaneous job related duties as assigned.


  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of basic math.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of basic technology of area where assigned.
  • Must have interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.


Applicants that have completed a Sheetmetal Worker Apprenticeship Program are preferred but directly related relevant work experience can be considered.  This position is on 1st shift that starts at 7:00 AM and ends at 3:00 PM.  The hourly rate of pay is $27.86.
