E&I Technician

Job Title:
E&I Technician OVC – Destrehan LA

Overview:
The E&I Technician will be responsible for the electrical maintenance of our soybean processing facility in Destrehan LA. This will include troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment in the facility.   

Essential Functions:
·Responsible for plant wide electrical troubleshooting and repair (electrical circuits of 480VAC or less).  

·Troubleshoot and repair variable frequency drive (VFD) and AC/DC systems
·Ability to perform general electrician skills including but not limited to running conduit and sizing and pulling wire
·Ability to read and understand ladder logic ·Troubleshoot and repair Programmable Logix Control (PLC) (Allen-Bradley) systems  

·Utilize the integrator to assign IP addresses to new equipment, electrical commissioning of new equipment
·Ability to follow, interpret, and read blueprints or schematics
·Calibrate and/or troubleshoot process instrumentation
·Inspect for conformity to industry standards or specifications
·Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Skill/Experience Requirements:

·Associates degree and/or Technical Certification preferred
·High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
·5 years of industrial electrical experience preferred 

·PLC experience preferred
·Documented experience or training
·Good written and verbal communications skills  ·Overtime will be required both as part of the normal schedule and to provide coverage as needed.

Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday with occasional overtime and / or call-out availability
