Plant Electrician

Job Title:

Electrician OVC – Destrehan LA

Overview:

The candidate will be responsible for the electrical maintenance of a soybean processing facility in Destrehan LA. This will include troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment in the facility.

Essential Functions:

Documented prior experience and/or training as an electrician to include proficiency in the following areas:

• Must actively participate in Bunge’s Employee Safety Policy
• Maintain a safe work environment for self and all employees
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical components of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic industrial equipment
• Maintain electrical switchgear
• Ability to lay out and install conduit
• Knowledge of PLC’s (troubleshooting ladder logic) and instrumentation experience a plus
• HVAC experience a plus
• Working knowledge of Vibration Data Collector and Thermography. 
• Performs miscellaneous job related duties as assigned

Skill/Experience Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Associates degree and/or Technical Certification preferred
• 5 years of industrial electrical experience preferred
• PLC experience required
• Documented experience or training
• Good written and verbal communications skills
• Overtime will be required both as part of the normal schedule and to provide coverage as needed.

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday with occasional overtime and / or Call out availability
