Position Summary:
The Sr Logistics Analyst is responsible for monitoring and coordinating daily logistics activities for the US Gulf grain and crush assets as it relates to port logistics and barge and vessel operations in BNA’s Agribusiness Unit. This role will assist with the planning, scheduling, and execution of shipments and corresponding documentation associated with these activities. To ensure optimal results, the Sr Logistics Analyst will work closely with plant operations, logistics teams, and commercial groups to implement cost containment strategies using data related to the day-to-day business activities. This role will also play an important part in managing day to day port operations to ensure timely and optimal decisions are executed as planned. This is a cross-functional support role to the organization that interfaces with multiple departments and global offices internally and externally. The Sr Logistics Analyst will be required to collaborate with Commercial, Logistics, Operations, and Foreign Trade Support. This position is also responsible for maintaining relationships and communicating effectively with these groups along with others including Accounting, Legal, and Information Technology.

Core Functions:
•    Execute terminal loading plans by analyzing financial drivers, contract specifications, operational abilities, vessel availability, and supply readiness. 
•    Develop and align multiple inputs to execute multi-commodity export programs. 
•    Monitor and ensure appropriate communication and information flow with internal and 3rd party customers, logistics groups, service providers, and vessel agencies. 
•    Communicate Bunge’s export plan with 3rd party service providers to ensure equipment and labor are in place; negotiate additional resources as needed. 
•    Serve as the main point of contact including 24/7 on call troubleshooting with vessel agents, stevedores, surveyors, fumigators, traders, and logistics. 
•    Ensure fumigation is performed and separations are built in accordance with government regulations, Bunge SOP’s, and destination needs. 
•    Review all stowage plans, load orders, and load rotations. 
•    Review and approve expense invoices. 
•    Record and review rain times for laytime settlement. 
•    Review and approve vessel statement of facts; have vessel agents make corrections as needed. 
•    Coordinate independent surveyor condition checks prior to loading; troubleshoot and communicate problems as needed. 
•    Coordinate the scheduling of labor for FGIS and independent surveyors in a timely fashion. 
•    Identify gaps and/or opportunities within the program that improve income, reduce costs, or optimize plant operations. 
•    Organize and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting. 
•    Provide tours to educate customers, industry groups, and Bunge employees. 
•    Serve as a backup for other roles within the Destrehan Logistics team. 
•    Perform other duties as assigned.
    
Skills/Experience Requirements: 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or an applicable related field
•    2+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, agriculture, or related field 
•    Display a structured and self-disciplined approach to working - able to work on own initiative with ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility
•    Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, with the ability to prioritize conflicting activities, raising roadblocks early
•    Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence others 
•    Able to work in a fast-paced environment to efficiently synthetize and filter inputs from multiple
•    Demonstrates continuous learning to expand and build on skill sets
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
•    Industry relevant business process experience with commodity trading, barge transport and vessel industry practices preferred but not required
•    Excellent customer service and negotiation skills
•    Ability to work in cross – functional environment
