Why join our Global Business Development team?

The core of this role is to provide project management and analytical support to evaluate M&A and organic growth opportunities. You will work together with a small, passionate and focused core team to research, initiate and develop projects that have a major impact on our organization and on the food, feed and fuel supply chains worldwide. The company is experienced increasing activity driven by global mega-trends in these industries. The team works closely together with key partners up to C-level across Functional and Commercial teams (regionally and globally).

Day to day activities you can expect

• M&A process management: Participate in all aspects of M&A activities (Sell-side, Buy-side, Joint Ventures), Coordinate due-diligence teams composed of internal specialists and external advisors (e.g. investment banks, consultants, transaction services providers, legal advisors etc.), Develop valuation models using different methodologies and support to analytically assess deal fundamentals and economics.
• Strategy and business development: Assist in mapping exercise to identify, evaluate, screen and structure potential growth opportunities across Bunge businesses, Lead workstreams in strategic development projects and Provide analytical support for business development activities as needed.
• Other areas: Maintain awareness of competitor activities and market transactions, Contribute towards implementing a zero incident safety culture at Bunge and Support strategic initiatives with analytical work as necessary.

Who are we looking for

As a true collaborator and entrepreneur and strong communicator, you are able to build trust across the board. You identify yourself as a global citizen, open to travel and are highly organized to be able to deal with peaks and troughs which is in the nature of this position. As the successful candidate you are analytical, passionate about data and able to derive valuable information from high volumes. You have a solid understanding of M&A processes and dynamics, and the impact it can have on corporate strategies. You love the strategy part of originating and executing transactions, but are also result oriented and willing to do the operational work. Handling a broad scope, taking initiative, working independently and focused are traits that come natural to you and allow you to maintain objectivity and perform in a pressured environment. Besides that:
 

• A University degree. An MBA or other post graduate financial qualification is an advantage
• 3 - 5 years relevant post-graduate experience required in M&A (MNC, investment bank, private equity) or strategy (MNC or management consulting firm)
• Knowledge of valuation methodologies, cash flow analysis tools, accounting and corporate finance principles. Experience in financial modelling and project analysis
• Exposure to projects in the Food Ingredients and/or Agribusiness sectors would be an advantage
• Fluency in English is required plus other European or Asian languages
